🏛️ State License Law 📍 Oregon

📖 What you need to know

Client and escrow money received by a brokerage must be deposited promptly into a designated clients' trust account and kept separate from the firm's own funds, with the principal broker accountable for proper handling and record-keeping. Commingling trust funds with personal or business money is a serious violation that can lead to discipline by OREA. Oregon real estate licenses are renewed every two years, and licensees must complete required continuing education during each renewal cycle to keep the license active. Maintaining accurate transaction and trust-account records is part of staying in compliance at renewal.
