🏛️ State License Law 📍 Oregon

📖 What you need to know

Real estate licensing in Oregon is administered by the Oregon Real Estate Agency (OREA). The entry-level license is called a 'broker' (not 'salesperson'), and every broker must work under and be supervised by a principal broker who is responsible for the brokerage's transactions and trust accounts. To qualify, an applicant must complete 150 hours of approved pre-license education, pass the licensing exam, and submit to a background check. A principal broker is a higher-level license that authorizes a person to operate and supervise a real estate business.
