Sanctions can include reprimand, fines, suspension, or revocation of a license for conduct such as fraud, misrepresentation, dishonest dealing, or violating license law and the Canons of Ethics. Ohio also maintains a Real Estate Recovery Fund that can reimburse consumers who obtain an unsatisfied court judgment based on a licensee's misconduct, and the offending licensee's license is generally suspended until the fund is repaid.
