Required Disclosures for Minnesota Sellers and Licensees

Minnesota requires licensees to provide an agency disclosure that explains the available representation options before discussing confidential information with a consumer. Sellers of residential property must generally furnish a written disclosure of material facts about the condition of the property that could adversely affect a buyer's use or enjoyment, unless an authorized inspection report is used instead. Licensees must also disclose known material defects and avoid misrepresentation, since Minnesota is not a community-property state and ownership/title matters must be accurately conveyed.
