🏛️ State License Law 📍 FloridaReal estate licensing in Florida is governed by the Florida Real Estate Commission (FREC), which operates under the Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR). To earn a sales associate license you must complete a 63-hour pre-licensing course and pass the state exam, then complete 45 hours of post-licensing education before your first renewal. A newly licensed sales associate cannot work independently and must be employed by and work under the supervision of a licensed broker, who is responsible for the associate's real estate activities.
